Message #05044
[Bug 930297] [NEW] Spam from Twitter hash tags
Public bug reported:
This is similar to bug #696037, but addresses a different problem.
On the locoteams page for Ubuntu-us-mi, we track the #ubuntumi tag.
Unfortunately, spammers have glommed on to this as a potential way to
get some link juice for their wares.
Would it be possible to disallow any post that has multiple hash-tags
(or even multiple ubuntu* tags) from showing up in the microblogging
window? We don't have direct control over the hash tags like we do over
the identi.ca groups, so policing this is extremely difficult.
Thanks!
