Public bug reported:

The link URL in an event comment appears with an extra trailing ">" and
tries to go to an address with an extra "<br" or "</p" (depending on
whether I end with a CRLF or not.  Editing the comment appears to fix
it, but a page refresh shows the extra characters again.
