I have been getting a lot of emails lately from the Apport Retracing

removing myself from the ML altogether?
The team is subscribed to these bug reports by the apport retracing
service when a bug report receives more than 10 duplicates.
Additionally, the retracer tags these bug reports bugpattern-needed.
This process helps notify us of work we need to do - write a bug pattern
for bugs that are receiving lots of duplicates so that we don't get more
of these duplicate reports. So while I'd wish you would see these
emails and write bug patterns here is how you can filter them.

All of the bug mail headers will include the following:

X-Launchpad-Message-Rationale: Subscriber @ubuntu-bugcontrol

and depending on your mail client you should be able to filter on this
bit in the header. Alternatively, in the body of the mail you will see:

You have been subscribe to a private bug by Apport retracing service
(apport):

Finally in the footer there is this bit:

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
Bug Control, which is subscribed to the bug report.

The text in the body will only catch the initial subscription message
while the footer or header would catch all emails. If I were to filter
this I would keep the initial subscription emails and delete the rest.

Thanks Brian,

Do I need to be familiar with a programming language to write these bug patterns? I would be happy to help with them but I have never written any. Could you point me in the right direction with regard to writing those?

-Tim
