[Question #40151]: netbook remix dissapears

I have been using Ubuntu Eee for a few weeks and everything was working
great.  All of a sudden my Notebook Remix just closes when I go to open
a program.  When I boot it is there then if I use it to open a program
it disappears.  I would reinstall it but I don't know the commands to
uninstall.  I liked using it so I would like to get it working again.

I did figure out that the network remix does show up in Synaptic so I reinstalled all the packages.  It still goes away when I open an app but it does come back up when I close the app.   It did stay on the desktop all the time before now it doesn't.
