Question #43121 on Ubuntu Eee changed:

Status: Open => Answered
Patrick K proposed the following answer:
I assume the problem is with the repository check sum. This was common
thru synpatic as well. Here's a quick write up:
Okay, problem with repository is partly fixed. Go into synaptic with
root privilege and manually change the repository (Setting –>
Repository) Under the selectbox “Download from”, select “other…”, then
choose a repository you like. You should be able to reload all the
packages. Close synaptic.
Now open rhythmbox with root privilege. Open a terminal, sudo bash
(enter passwd), and type rhythmbox. Open an mp3 or wma file, and now you
should be able to download the gstreamer packages. You can also load
them from synaptic by searching for them.
The link for adam’s third party packages still causes a bug
(http://www.array.org/ubuntu/dists/hardy/Release) Is the link bad, or is
Adam’s packages setting wrong?
