I had that problem and ended up removing the netbook remix.  You will need to go to the Netbook Remix guys to check on these problems.  https://launchpad.net/netbook-remix
There's also a similar bug where either the office category or the sound and multimedia category disappears after normal use.

Bug description:
Whenever I move the vertical scrollbar up or down, almost the whole of the NBR interfact disappears, only to come back when I stop dragging and release the left mouse button.
