Re: [Question #43213]: Elantech touchpad drivers not loaded?
Question #43213 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/43213
Status: Open => Answered
Adam McDaniel proposed the following answer:
If you're running 2.6.24-20-eeepc or later, the elantech code can be enabled by creating the file: /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse
and include the line: options psmouse elantech=1
Also, there's the modification to /etc/X11/xorg.conf
For more info, see http://www.array.org/ubuntu/news-
archive.html#2008-07-21T12:43:57-06:00
(The elantech code is disabled by default because the original authors
don't deem it 'stable')
