I don't believe this is a problem with the processor, per se, but there
are some other reports about errors downloading the repositories.

I'm still trying to validate the problem, unfortunately my .torrent
download screwed up and need it to start it again.

Bug description:
Synaptic and Ubuntu App Installer (add/remove apps) detects the kernel and the computer as being i386, so we are unable to install near anything.  Also repositories, keys and cheksums seem to be wrong.

"Program Name cannot be installed on your computer type (i386). Either the application requires special hardware features or the vendor"
