In my eee 701 4G the wireless lan keys worked perfectly, both enabling
and disabling.

However, the volume is always stuck at maximum. I found that a fix from
the ubuntu eee wiki solves the problem: [url]http://www.ubuntu-

It's a fix for ubuntu eee 8.04, but apparently 8.04.1 has the same bug.

Bug description:
When I push FN + F7 F8 F9 the main master volume control doesn't respond. It is always marked as being always OFF. Even there is sound.

Also, same happens with FN + F2. Once you disbable the wireless lan, you can't reenable it.
