- After boot, update-manager fails to start with an error message saying
- that it failed to install/upgrade. I'm running 8.04.1.rc1 on the Eee
- 1000.

+ immediately after the installation is complete.

Bug description:
A chronic problem affects 8.04.1 RC1 where "apt-get update" and the update-notifier fail to query the network for package updates, immediately after the installation is complete.

Here's a sample of the error returned.
