First of all you may have to install bluez-gnome in Synaptic.

For bluetooth mouse I found help from Ubuntu Geek:

Notice also comments #15 and #21. If bluetooth on PC starts automatically when starting the computer, you may have to switch on the mouse first and put it into connect mode. While computer is on, and you want to take mouse into use, you probably have to switch off the bluetooth, switch on the mouse and put it into connect mode, and switch on the bluetooth again.
