Re: [Question #47741]: installing on a SD card for the 900

Question #47741 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/47741

    Status: Open => Solved

CindyQ confirmed that the question is solved:
I managed to install eee-ubuntu on a SD card. I updated it with Synaptic
and the changes stuck next time I booted. What I neglected to do before
was install the boot loader on the SD card. emmele_74, I think that is
what you did too. You probably installed the boot loader on the USP
drive when you installed on your SD card. That might explain why you
had to install the live-system on your SD card to make it boot. When
you use the installer during the last step you use the "advanced" option
to select the location where to put the boot loader. Choose the SD card
and everything will be fine.
