I'm attempting to install Ubuntu eee 8.0.4.1 onto a 2g surf. I have attempted to install via USB drive initially, then via external CD, all fail with the same issue.

The eee boots correctly and displays the initial boot menu for unetbootin or the CD, but choosing any option in the menu results in the boot screen flashing, then nothing happening.

Any help would be appreciated.
