[Question #49401]: Wifi not working after upgrade

I have a eeepc 1000 and with Ubuntu 8.04.1 installed on it. The system has a LAN and WLAN device on it, but these have stop working after applying the latest update. I have checked the BIOS and both devices are listed as enabled. I have even ran the Hardware testing and the twoi devices (i.e. RaLink device 0781 and Attansic device). I did a reboot after installing the update and since the Network Manager stopped listing both of them.

Can someone help?
