[Bug 293396] Re: Eee 900 Fn+F7 mute action does not work
the mute/unmute is currently being handled both by eeepc_control via hal and acpi. A fix has been pushed upstream.
In the meantime, uncomment the lines referring to F5-F6-F7 in /etc/acpi/eeepc-hotkeys.sh

Bug description:
It quickly mute/unmute with OSD displaying a speaker _with_ 'wavefronts'. If I try hard enough and repeatedly press Fn+F7, then once in a while, it'll mute without unmuting.
I noticed this problem after upgrade to intrepid and I could also swear the it was working in Hardy.
