Re: [Question #50099]: Ubuntu eee install didn't offer a partition option
Question #50099 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/50099
Status: Open => Answered
stlubuntu proposed the following answer:
To set up a dual boot with Windows XP, the manual partition option would
have been the correct one to select. That would have displayed the existing
partitions and given you the opportunity to resize one to make room for your
new Ubuntu install.
It is possible, but exceedingly more difficult to set up a dual boot with Windows
after Ubuntu is already installed (Ubuntu will recognize and play nice with an existing
Windows install, but not really the other way around.)
