I have an issue with the touchpad being erratic.

I had a hard time installing and had to choose all options with keyboard
because the touchpad is unusable. It clicks randomly and jumps around
the screen as soon as I touch it with the finger. I installed gsynpatics
to configure the sensistivity. I disabled the tapping. When I change the
sensitivity, the overall cursor sensitivity follows the setting I
choose, but the jumping around does not stop. If I maintain my finger on
the touchpad without moving it, the cursor jumps 1-2 inches on the
display, but remains centered where it is. I had ubuntu-eee 8.04
installed and it was working properly.
