[Question #59010]: Problem installing Easy Peasy on Asus Eee PC 1000

New question #59010 on Easy Peasy:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/59010

1. I tried to install from a USB DVD drive. Ubuntu came up and I ran a memory test. OK Next I ran a CD test. Three files Failed. I downloaded the ISO again, Checked the MD5 number - OK, burned two more DVDs on different systems and and still get the same Three files Failed. message.

2. Tried to create a bootable USB image. Downloaded and installed Unetbootin for Ubuntu. Followed the directions and I created one file that I can see "ldlinux.sys" on the USB drive. This file is only 14KB in size. The ISO image did not get moved to the USB drive and it was not extracted to the USB drive. I copied the ISO image to the USB drive, but that did not help either. When I try t boot from the USB drive I get the following message:

SYSLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 EBIOS Copyright 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin
boot: <cr>
Could not find Kernel image: linux
boot:

Help please
