I didn't try blacklisting ath_pci, I just tried to rmmod every ath* module, then modprobing ath_pci.
I did the same for ath5k, with no luck.
Anyway I'll give a try to see if blacklisting ath_pci works.

The Eee PC has non-working wireless out of the box. A patch is available from the madwifi website:

I'd like to have working wireless in hardy, without having to patch/compile manually :)
