I can confirm that blacklisting ath_pci wifi card is detected and works using ath5k module.
Just signal seems to be weaker than using latest ath_pci from madwifi.
A side effect is that I lost my wireless led, but, hey, I'm connected!!! :)

The Eee PC has non-working wireless out of the box. A patch is available from the madwifi website:

I'd like to have working wireless in hardy, without having to patch/compile manually :)
