Public bug reported:

This borked the upgrade to ubuntu 13.10, running "dpkg --configure -a"
was unable to fix it, but apparently traced the problem back to the
gforth package:

(this is a possible duplicate of bug #1235901, but since that doesn't
mention gforth, I'm reporting this here)
