Message #01189
Emacs snapshot broken in 11/16 snapshot?
When starting up emacs, I'm immediately greeted by the message:
startup--setup-quote-display: Cannot open load file: No such file or
directory, mule-util
Attempting to start with -q, -Q or any of the sister options makes no
difference.
The mule-util.elc file existed in the last snapshot:
# locate mule-util.elc
/usr/share/emacs/25.0.50/lisp/international/mule-util.elc
but no longer exists...
# ls /usr/share/emacs/25.0.50/lisp/international/mule-util.elc
ls: cannot access
/usr/share/emacs/25.0.50/lisp/international/mule-util.elc: No such file or
directory
Packages installed from dpkg:
ii emacs-snapshot-common 2:201511150046~ubuntu14.04.1
all GNU Emacs editor (common files used by Gtk and NoX
variants)
ii emacs-snapshot-nox 2:201511130046~ubuntu14.04.1
amd64 GNU Emacs editor (with text-only user interface)
OS version:
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty
Is there any way to work around this issue? Thanks.
