Message #00400
[Ubuntugnome-qa] (no subject)
Greetings,
I am semi-new to the Linux family.
A decade ago I was in programming competitions (High School/College
levels) and did some networking with Windows. I haven't written code
since then, but still fix Windows computers for co-workers and such.
Our household switched to Ubuntu a couple years ago after a falling
out with Windows and we haven't looked back. We've used everyone one
of the Ubuntu OS/DEs at this point and with the prospect of Ubuntu
GNOME and the call for help, I've decided to step up.
That said, I don't have the Linux know-how to code, compile, or even
navigate lauchpad and submit a complete bug report... but I'm willing
to test, learn and help where I can.
So far, this first Beta seems smooth out of the box. I've installed it
on it's on partition on a Dell Laptop and have only run into a few
bugs/quirks, but all the basic necessities are in order. Is there a
specific area I should begin? Should I just email this address with
issues I find? Is there something in the below link I should be
following to help out?

With guidance, I can probably contribute a few hours a week, but right
now I'm not sure what I can do.
