I also did a quick test here in Vmware and it worked fine...
As a side note, for those of you testing in VM's and can't test real hardware, I would recommend trying Vmware, I know many people baulk at the
idea of using propriety software, but it is a far superior vm platform. All of the really important guest side drivers for the virtual devices
including the graphics driver are open source and mainlined in the linux kernel. i.e. you can boot a fully functional VM without any guest
additions. This is worlds better than the mess that Virtual Box is since Oracle took over.
Vmware Player is free for personal use, and despite the name can create VM's these days!
