Message #00040
Rhythmbox close behaviour
Hi list,
currently, in gnome-shell, if you try to close Rhythmbox while music is
playing, the main window disappears but rhythmbox keeps playing in the
background. From this moment, there is no way to stop rhythmbox, apart
from re-launching it and clicking "quit" in the main menu.
See here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/694860
This is the wanted behaviour in stock Ubuntu (because of indicators),
but not in upstream Gnome.
Now, the question is: do you think it's possible to isolate this
"feature" in a separate package so that users don't have to suffer this
bug in ubuntu-gnome-desktop? Or maybe it could be turned into a
configuration option that would be off by default, but set to on by
default in ubuntu-desktop?
