Re: ubuntu-gnome-desktop-minimal metapackage?
I support a minimal version that includes only the packages essential
to start a gnome graphical session
I have already created a custom version of ubuntu 10.04
My proposal is to include only those packages and their dependencies
linux-generic
ubuntu-minimal
ubuntu-standard
gnome-core
only english language
and add some other package for installation of other programs
and something else
bye

I could continue to do that, but sometime I may miss basic things for some functionality to work (usually when I distupgrade) and I would prefer to rely on an official metapackage.
