Announcements, and the Ubuntu Ham Developers list

I've finally gotten the wiki page of Ubuntu ham apps into reasonable shape, with upstream links for most packages, and links to the bug page for each package:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuHamsPackages

One thing that I think is missing is a nice page that lists packages by function, i.e. "logging", "packet", "digital modes", etc. This would make it easier for people to discover what's out there for
use. I'd like to also expand the notes field on this page with per-package links where appropriate, as I started for splat. Anyone who is motivated is welcome to contribute to the wiki.

Attention developers:

I've established a new launchpad team for people interested in helping triage bugs, develop, bugfix, or package ham apps. The devel team page is here:

https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-devel

This team is subscribed to bugs for every ham package in Ubuntu - the volume is low. However, I plan to start opening more bugs against these packages, for annoyances and outright bugs.
I'd love to fix everything and help the debian maintainers package the latest versions of these apps, but I can't keep up. If you're a developer, please join the devel team. With the number of people
who use Ubuntu, we have an opportunity to process bug reports and provide quality support to the upstream developers for these applications.

One last thing - don't miss the January issue of "Linux Journal", which focuses on Amateur Radio.
