Fw: Outpost & Linux
For what it's worth I did contact Jim, the author of Outpost and this is what he passed back to me.

Hi
Clayton,
Outpost works for telnet interfaces with Wine... I've done so
myself. However, for SUB-to-Serial, there is a bug in the Wine
implementation that is preventing that to work. I have getting it to work
on my to-do list, but to be honest, it is not at the top.
If you
are a C program expert, there is a workaround that someone did by writing a
simple telnet server that listened for Outpost, and then talked to the
SUB-to-Serial IF in native Linux. If interested, I can send that along,
and see if that helps.
regards,
Jim

Jim: A question has came up here about if there is a plan to port
Outpost to Linux?
A lot of us are starting to use Ubuntu 11.04 here and are wanting to
continue using
Outpost in our emergency plans.
Just wondering.
