Re: Nice Ubuntu mention in October QST

Hi,

it is really heartwarming to read about CQRLOG. Thank you!

It was a lot of work to get cqrlog packaged. Steve helped me a lot on our
meeting here in Praha. We were talking about packaging benefits. I didn't
see the benefits in packaging compare to how much work has to be done.
Kamal helped me a lot as well. We spent hours on IRC #ubuntu-hams and he
explained me what to do and what I'm doing wrong. He was very patient. Thank
you Kamal!
Finally we did it and it worth it! Since CQRLOG was packaged I can observe
significant growing number of users. It definitely worth it.

If I look at HamQTH.com statistics, Linux use about 13% of visitors. Great!
Quite often I get email with something like "because of CQRLOG I moved to
Linux ... ". CQRLOG really has to be very good program when Windows users
are leaving his operating system.

Hopefully one day there will be also arcticle about using CQRLOG and
HamQTH.com.
