Ubuntu-Hams session Wednesday at UDS - Presentation on HSMM-MESH

 

The session is scheduled for 17:05-18:00 local time (21:05-22:00 UTC) in room
Bonaire 2.

Kamal KA6MAL will deliver a short presentation by John AC6SL, on his
recent experiments with "HSMM-MESH":  John and other hams in his
community have recently established WiFi links between sites as far as
11 kilometers apart using cheap LinkSys WiFi routers running custom
open-source Linux-based firmware and home-brew high gain antennas.
Possible applications include remote control of ham repeaters, and
emergency (ARES) Internet service.
