Re: Contest logging project
I see a need for a good contest logging program as all the logging programs
I have looked at for Ubuntu (Linux) do not have anywhere close to the
features in most of the dedicated logging programs available for Windows.
I have been waiting for some ambitious sole to create the ultimate logging
program, a great general logging program that is also a fantastic contest
logging program with all the features of say N1MM.
Of the 133 plus logging programs mentioned, most of the them are not very
good and many are no longer supported.
I would be very interested in and lend what support I am able to the efforts
of a good contest logging program for Linux that has features as good as
N1MM, Writelog and others.

Take a look at http://www.dxzone.com/catalog/Software/Logging/ and see that
there are 133 Logging programs listed (hihihihihi). Why in the world would
anyone want to get into that wrestling match? would you use OmniRig (VE3NEA)
or Hamlib (Linux)? there is no cross platform rig interface software in
general use. Don't forget the small MAC community!
