Māori TMX files

In my day job I have access to a bunch of out-of-copyright
Māori-English TMX files. The content is >70 years old and largely
about legal and organisational issues. It's all in traditional
orthography (= no macrons).

I'm not really a translation expert, but I know that TMX files can be
imported into computer assisted translation systems (including,
presumably the ubuntu one), since this is what the format is for.

Does anyone know enough to have a good idea whether importing these
non-computer related files into the ubuntu computer assisted
translation system is going to be useful?

cheers
stuart
