[Bug 1656585] Re: OpenDKIM fails to load when comments are present

I’ve checked the code, and unfortunately I’m unable see how the comments
could possibly have any bearing on the behaviour. In any case I am
unable to reproduce this with opendkim version 2.11.0~alpha-11 (Ubuntu
18.04).

Title:
OpenDKIM fails to load when comments are present

Status in opendkim package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Affects: OpenDKIM version 2.10.3

If a comment is present after the `SOCKET=` line in
`/etc/default/opendkim` like below, OpenDKIM will fail to launch,
  citing invalid usage.

      # Command-line options specified here will override the contents of
      # /etc/opendkim.conf. See opendkim(8) for a complete list of options.
      #DAEMON_OPTS=""
      #
      # Uncomment to specify an alternate socket
      # Note that setting this will override any Socket value in opendkim.conf
      #SOCKET="local:/var/run/opendkim/opendkim.sock" # default
#SOCKET="inet:54321" # listen on all interfaces on port 54321
#SOCKET="inet:12345@localhost" # listen on loopback on port 12345
      #SOCKET="inet:12345@192.0.2.1" # listen on 192.0.2.1 on port 12345
      SOCKET="inet:12301@localhost" # just a "harmless" little comment
