https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu

confirms the repositories

The extract is as follows.....

The following repositories are enabled by default:

    * "Canonical-supported Open Source software (main)"
    * "Proprietary drivers for devices (restricted)" [hardware-dependent]
    * "Source Code"
    *

      Note: In Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty), the main, universe, restricted and

Status in Ubuntu Manual: In Progress

Bug description:
I am reading the Ubuntu Manual rev. 788 (as part of the "Show us ya bugs" initiative), and in Chapter 3, on p. 88, I believe I have discovered an incorrect information error. The Manual states, "So that you can play all videos and DVDs, you will need to install some codecs. This is done by enabling the Multiverse repositories (for how to do this see Chapter 5: Software Management)." My understanding, however, is that Multiverse is enabled by default.
