Hm, this is great news.. It seems that the project is finally going
official.

About ground control.. what a great idea! I imagine that Martin has
something in mind similar to the autorun button that appears on a bar in
nautilus when you open a cd/dvd, but instead with push and pull
buttons... nice.

I think I could help.. my python skills are terribly rusty though, but I
would like to give it a try once I clear up chapter 5 from my todo list.
