Hey folks,
we are on our way to finish the lucid-e2 manual in german. The
translation is »ready« in a way that we are fixing inconsistencies right
now. Since the last version i edited is quite a time ago now, I have
some questions:
How to translate the titlepage?
What was the process after finishing the translation? I had to do sth.
like "make ubuntu-manual-de.tex" and work on the \marginpars etc.,
right? I had some shell-script which used the right LaTeX-commands, is
there one for e2 too?

Hello Daniel,
At the risk of skipping something, let me try to explain how I made the
Dutch manual:
1. Install TeX Live 2011. Follow the instruction on
http://ubuntu-manual.org/getinvolved/editors. Do not forget to make sure
you have all the required packages by running install-pkgs.sh.
2. Install bzr.
3. In home folder, create folder Projects, cd ~/Projects
4. Get files from LP: bzr branch lp:ubuntu-manual/lucid-e2
5. Download the German translation of the manual (de.po) and place it in
/Projects/lucid-e2/po
6. Finally type the command: make ubuntu-manual-de.pdf
Success!
Hannie
