Thanks, Mike, for the quick reply...just ran it at the command line and
here's what I got:

bzr: ERROR: Cannot lock LockDir(
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual/ubuntu-manual/raring/.bzr/branch/lock):
Transport operation not possible: http does not support mkdir()
