Yep, still crashing, e.g. the calculator app:

phablet@localhost:~$ /usr/bin/ubuntu-calculator-app --desktop_file_hint=/usr/share/applications/ubuntu-calculator-app.desktop

loaded the Generic plugin 
loaded the Linux plugin

such directory

Using either qmlscene.desktop or the ubuntu-calculator-app.desktop...
