System Apps Status Jan-10-2013
?Hi Guys,
I will be sending out weekly status updates of the progress the System
Apps team is making. Here is the report for last week.
*Telephony Services: *
* landed support in history-service, ofono-qt and telepathy-ofono to
support the newly added multi-party calling and delivery reporting
features that recently landed in ofono
* additional unit tests added to telephony-service
* in process of specifying details of telephony stack when greeter is
run as a separate (lightdm) user. Testing and reviewing MR provided by
mterry. Most likely separate instances of user-space telephony services
will need to be run as lightdm user.

SMS messages

dialer-app on phone call receive

process.
*Gallery App: *
* MR submitted to convert gallery-app to a click package, testing in
process.
* Need to changes in content-hub to land to support launching gallery as
a click before this can be merged
* Fixes made to support not running in fullscreen by default on desktop
* MR in progress to add state saving support to gallery, such that when
the app is killed by the system it will be restored properly to it's
prior state when resuming.
* This work has uncovered some bugs/missing features in the SDK state
saving code which is being addressed by the SDK team
*Address Book App: *
* Work in progress to support state saving. Similar issues as
gallery-app state saving.
* Testing and review of converting this package to a click package is
underway
