Apps Team - Status Jan 17, 2014

*Telephony Services*:
 * MRs submitted to add support for voicemail and multiple call handling

*Messaging App*:
 * Released new version of app with status, retry and delivery
confirmation of SMS messages
 * Continued work on multi-recipient SMS messages, detailed work items,
started implementing

*Dialer App*:
 * MR to support multiple call handling and switching between active
calls has been submitted. Functional but not per design, as support not
enabled in snap decisions for 3 button actions with vertical layout.
 * Work in progress to correctly display voicemail notifications and
messaging menu entries. Waiting on changes in ofono to land for
voicemail to be working correctly, and this is in progress.

*Webbrowser App*:
 * finished FilePicker QML API to mimic QtWebView
 * demonstrable webbrowser-app that uses Oxide is working, will be
uploaded to PPA when packaging complete for people to try
 * Oxide now successfully running on device under MIR! Yay!

*Address Book App:*
 * Contact syncing work: successfully built and tested latest trunk of
syncevolution that has Ubuntu Online Accounts integrated. Used this to
authenticate with Google via UOA and two-way sync contacts.
 * Remaining work items planned and discussed to fully support contact sync
 * Work to fix bug where creating/editing contacts with duplicate email
addresses causing problems with folks auto-merge.

*OSK:*
 * landed fix for
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-keyboard/+bug/1267550,
thanks to Gerry Boland for that
 * work in progress on landing latest trunk of OSK with support for
language switching

*Content-Hub:*
 * Prioritized work items to support export and share
 * Discussions in progress regarding Category->Mime Type mappings
