Re: Landing team 21.02.14

Good Morning Mr. Skaggs,

I installed 146 devel on my nexus 4 and updated it to 194 this morning.
A few observations:
-phone/sms works with wcdma in Canada on Windmobile
-firefox video playing cuts off when screen save kicks in.
-grooveshark player sounds cut out when the screen saver kicks in.
-sleepy time sounds cut out when the screen saver kicks in.
-dropping letters new game doesn't work for a second game.
-terminal carriage return doesn't work.
-after doing the:
powerd-cli display on &
to turn off the screen saver, then keeping grooveshark on for about two
minutes, then the sound kind of goes choppy. 1 second music, 1/2 second
silence, 1 second music, 1/2 second silence.

For your information I created different versions of small gui app to
compare the fun-factor of installing/configuring/building/deploying an
app. The sources are here:
https://github.com/omac777
-c++ gtkmm boost serialization wizard gui example
-golang gtk assistant example with serialization
-c++-based qt for android(necessitas) wizard gui example with
serialization and with sendsms
Now I want to create the same gui with c++/ubuntu-sdk for ubuntu touch.
I would love for the ubuntu-sdk team to make a more elaborate
documentation for supporting c++ development of ubuntu touch apps.
Here is one link to something discussing it's possible, but I am
disappointed it is coming from a third party rather than ubuntu itself:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41115284&nocache=1

The most important element here is the qt creator project should have a
template for creating a c++ ubuntu touch app from the start. There is
nothing from the initial new project that suggests which template to use
for creating a c++ ubuntu touch app. Please add this. It would also be
nice if you could provide a golang alternative to building guis for
ubuntu touch. It's fun factor is currently the highest for me. It
doesn't take much time to build and run at all for gtk.

I have no fun-factor with qml/html5 and want to avoid it as much as
possible. I would prefer to build the gui programmatically from
c++/golang I have done for gtk/qt.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
David Marceau
