Landing team 18.09.14

Hello everyone,

Today a small regression sneaked into our ubuntu-rtm images. It seems
that after the recent updates of the youtube scope without a release of
the required scopes api bits in the RTM distro caused this scope to be
broken. This was quickly fixed and a new image build started.

Things look pretty good in overall besides that. We are still waiting
for at least one blocker to get resolved [1], but the fix for that one
is already in the queue - with a fix ready for testing and release.

On the other hand we also noticed some trouble from the smoketesting
side on our utopic images. Some autopilot tests suites stopped listing
all of their tests and was failing the few of them that it picked up. We
are still in the middle of looking for a root cause, but it seems during
every test suite run the following traceback can be seen:
 http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/8370985/
Currently we only have some suspects. We'll see tomorrow. For
information - this only happens for ubuntu images. ubuntu-rtm stays
unharmed.

To all landers: around tomorrow we will also be switching to doing
binary copies by default instead of source copies during sync silos. The
decision has been made that because the risks are low, in most cases
such an approach will be safe - while the few singular cases can be
caught in proposed migration or QA sign-off. This should speed some
landings up. Let's see how it goes!

A last reminder: image numbers depend on the channel they come from and
might be different also per device!

* Blocking issues:

** [1] Video and Music scopes should provide non-file:/// based URIs
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1340952
 => Merge requests present
 -> Fix ready (at least for most of the issue) - testing for utopic
ongoing, scheduled for RTM afterwards.

** Sometimes suggestions fail to appear
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1365304
[Time counter 10/7]
 -> We might whitelist this as it is low priority.

* Known issues:

** Video freezes and doesn't recover randomly
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1314998
 -> Seems to be an old issue, but recently became much more easily
reproducible. Normally it would become a blocker.

** initial account after creation transfers back to the settings app
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1367804
 => Merge requests present

* Issues not impacting user experience:

** Ubuntu Touch devices sometimes come up with hwclock set to 1970
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1353591
 -> Critical issue, but we're working-around it temporarily to get a
promotion

** indicator-network crashing during dialer-app and default tests on
smoketesting
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1355130
[Time counter 28/7]
[WHITELISTED]
 -> Reproducible all the time, no movement in over 7 days. Might be
whitelisted as per QA decision (as practically it does not affect the
users).

** Seekbar tests are skiped only on nexus 4 and 5
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1359040
 => Merge requests present
 -> Is this really a blocker? Comment needed.

Best regards,
