Re: Announcing the porting guide 2.0

 

Hello David,
I read the new Porting Guide, please see my feedback below:

   - When porting to a new device a lot of things might get wrong. It will
   be great if the Porting Guide has a troubleshooting section, containing
   some common issues and suggestions.
   - It will be nice if the Porting Guide has information on the abootimg
   tool, e.g. how to change the command line, passed to the kernel when
   booting, etc.
   - In section "Device-specific changes" the arguments of the check-config
   tool are wrong. Its arguments are positional, so the proper command will
   be: check-config <defconfig file> -w
