Hello everyone,

As per earlier announcement the ubuntu-rtm landing gates are now closed
and QA is now in the middle of performing their tests on our first
promotion candidate. The device tarball we were still waiting for is now
ready and we should land it after the sign-off is done. We are also a
bit low on vivid silos, so silo-assignment might be slightly delayed.

The spreadsheet issues have resolved themselves as well, but as always
we have no control over when those will be back again. We asked Google
for support so maybe the root cause will finally be identified. Let's
see how it goes. The replacement is still being worked on.

All in all: once testing is finished and BQ signs off the image as well,
OTA-3 should be made available to the users next week. This will also be
the first phased update we provide. This means that the OTA deployment
will commence in phases, on each phase more and more (selected randomly)
users will get access to the update itself. This type of deployment also
makes sure that if there are serious issues found that we have missed
during testing, we should get the info about them before all users
already update - giving more time for instant action. The phasing period
has been currently set to 1 day. More on this during the actual OTA release.
