Message #11986
Where to file bugs

Hi,
I have been using Ubuntu on my Nexus 4 for nearly a month. I really like
how the OS is designed and is being developed! I hope that Ubuntu will
be an excellent free and open option for kinds devices soon!
There are a couple of issues that I wanted to report as bugs. All of
these show up after long periods of use, and a restart fixes them:
- - One is the with bluetooth: many times the bluetooth option does not
switch on. Neither from the top drop down menu or systems settings. When
I tap the button, it slides right and becomes green, but after a second
goes back to the left. If I restart the phone, it works. So I am
assuming that after long periods of bluetooth being off, this problem
occurs. Also, I have been able to successfully use bluetooth only with
audio devices and not at all for incoming files.
- - Second is with rendering - I am not sure if that is right word here.
Essentially what happens is that after long period of use, the display
start to flicker a little and the smoothness goes away whenever
something moves on the screen. Like when I swipe right to left to see
all open apps and screens, during the movement I see some flickering and
roughness in transitions. Even fade in, fade outs, scrolling up or down
are not smooth. It goes back to normal on restart.
- - Finally, the music app starts to malfunction in terms of the sound
output. The music starts breaking and cracking. This happens when I
return to the music app after some time to un-pause the current song in
the play list. Again the only way I see is to restart the phone. I guess
I could use the terminal to restart some service, but I have not played
around with it yet.
All these issues have not happened simultaneously yet. Only the
bluetooth and the display issue have. But I feel they are disconnected
from each other.
I wanted to know how and where to file these bugs - if indeed they are
bugs and not something particular to my device. The device has been
functioning properly since I bought it though and I have never
experienced similar issues on Android.
Best,
Guneet
