If you're using Google to store your contacts, you should be able to
sync the phone with it by adding your google account in
system-settings -> online accounts, and enable contacts sync there.
I for one usually use this guide to sync them to a CardDav server and
then to the phone. That however, requires command line interaction
still for now.
