I don't understand how you could have seen that video you linked to,
and still think that the problem was one that could be solved by a
tutorial.

Yes, learning 6~10 different invisible gestures would be very hard.
But worse would be the problem shown in the video: invoking the
gestures when you meant to do something inside the app instead. (At
least most of the current gestures can be undone by swiping back the
other way.) Even worse than that would be invoking one edge gesture
when you meant to invoke the one next to it. And all this is ignoring
that some of those edge segments aren't even reachable by the typical
hand.
