Message #14674
middle circle function (gesture navigation)
Hi,
I was hoping that the middle circle - quite recognisable feature of
Ubuntu touch will actually have some cool functions in the phone.
I wish I could see time in it;
who is calling (or texting);
maybe other lock-screen notifications;
currently played song title;
music management (play/pause/previous/next);
alarm info;
I was also hoping for some circle related gestures:
calls answering:
two rounds anti-clockwise = answer vs. two clockwise = reject
for alarm clock
round anti-clockwise = snooze vs. two clockwise = turn off
music navigation (after pressing power button)
press for buttons swipe for volume
notification browsing
swipe around to see numbers of missed calls/received texts, tweets
etc. tap to remove particular notification from the circle.
I am sure there are more ideas out there and that something like this is
inevitable to be implemented in the future (or is it?). I think current
state of things (daily stats kind of thing) indicates developer interest
in this area - I just wanted to ask if there is something in plans and
hoping that there is actually something there I am sharing my suggestions.
Also while talking gesture navigation - I feel there is not enough of it
for gesture reach phone. But this I guess it would be a topic for
another conversation.
All the best,
Chris
