Thanks! I tried that, but no joy. I still get a black screen with a blinking cursor at the top.

I've tried both with both versions mentioned earlier, same result.

What version should I be seeing for things to work?

All this is in a VMWare Fusion VM. I've rebuilt Vmware Tools with both driver versions installed, but that didn't make any difference.

Is anyone else around who has Vivid with the overlay working in VMWare Fusion? I'm running the latest version (7.1.2).
