you can have that a little easier without all the grep/tail stuff:

phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ cat /run/user/32011/dbus-session 
DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS=unix:abstract=/tmp/dbus-ilLXHkNbfT

(you should also mention in your post that "crontab -e" only works on
writable systems)
